“ We really enjoyed our recent visits here. This restaurant has been around for years and this is a well known budget sushi and bento box place. We also tried using their coupon on the back of our Safeway receipts to take some additional percentages off with success! Food is delicious, service very friendly and efficient. If you want to eat some budget friendly sushi and bento boxes without breaking the bank, come here. Located on Geary Blvd between 21st and 22nd Ave. ”

“ Kitaro is my go-to favorite place for sushi, and I've been coming here for the past 15 years. I always get a bento box with teriyaki chicken and a California roll. It's so good and just the right amount of food, plus it comes with miso soup. We also tried the vegetable udon, which had a super flavorful broth, and the vegetable tempura was delicious and crispy. The tonkatsu was excellent as well. We ordered a couple of rolls, and they were all incredibly fresh and tasty. The waiters and waitresses are super nice and friendly, making the dining experience even better. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to everyone! ”
“ I love this place. I use to come here often when I lived in the area. I've ordered delivery recently and it's still just as good. They do have plenty of seating and the service has always been great every time I ate there. I've never had a bad entree. The only thing about delivery or takeout is the tempura dish. It's best eaten right out of the cooker otherwise, it's not as crunchy. It's still good though. The unagi-don is delicious. I highly recommend if you like fish and sweetness. All the rolls I got were great too (see pics). I had leftovers as it was just 2 of us. I ordered way too much. I do know that parking can be tough in that area. If you take the 38-bus, it'll drop you off right there. Highly recommend the trip there or order through DoorDash (which I did and they delivered it in less than 15mins!!!) or Uber Eats. ”
“ My go to for not so expensive sushi night. $48 for all that you see here. Satisfied two eaters and as a comparison went to a pace in Japantown last month and ate about the same amount for $75 and the sushi at Kitaro was agreeably more fresh and the environment was much cleaner and authentic feeling Benn going here close to 20 years and the service is prompt and as friendly as ever. I swear they must have a policy which requires them only to smile. We always wonder if we were the only ones we knew who came here and realized all our friends came here. A great family sushi restaurant. ”
